Advans deploys a new learning management system
Having started its major digital transformation programme for an improved staff and customer experience in 2020, Advans has recently introduced a new digital learning platform.
Scalable training strategy
Advans’ training strategy is based on the concept of blended learning where classroom training sessions, virtual classes and e-learning are combined for an optimal result. The group introduced the Advans Training Centre (ATC) in 2017 in order to centralise the production of training modules. Aiming to further improve learning experience for staff Advans launched a new Learning Management System (using TalentLMS) in October 2020. TalentLMS is a cloud-based LMS (learning management system) that helps deliver training to employees. One of the main benefits of the platform is that the group’s complete training catalogue is available to all on one central platform.
Personalised and flexible learning experience
E-learning offers a number of advantages and the ongoing Covid crisis only further highlighted the need of a flexible online learning platform, allowing staff to learn « on the go ». Most of our Client relationship officers’ work includes frequent travelling to visit clients on the field and the new digital learning solution allows staff to follow short courses while in public transport. The platform also offers the possibility to customise courses, allowing users to choose the most suitable content for them. Users can review courses already taken, keeping their interest and encouraging regular use. The platform is also used for follow-up of face-to-face training as well as sharing training materials. Each individual has a training path and their progress can be monitored, thus enhancing the group’s learning management and reporting. This represents a key aspect in Advans’ training strategy as it allows to evaluate the success of trainings and the level of acquisition of new skills.
Ongoing innovation with promising results
The new digital learning platform has already been deployed for staff at the group office in Paris and 3 pilot subsidiaries (Advans Ghana, Advans Tunisie and Advans Côte d’Ivoire) with a total of 1,783 learners and 8,656 courses completed* at end April 2021. This new digital tool will be gradually deployed in the rest of Advans’ subsidiaires in the coming two years as part of Advans’ digital transformation programme. The feedback received so far is very encouraging, showing an increased engagement of staff. Capitalising on these first results, the group’s aim is to continue innovating and improving the learning experience for staff in the future.
