Advans’ staff and clients united around the IWD 2020 theme "Each for equal"
On the occasion of International Womens’ Day 2020, Advans’ subsidiaries across the globe took the opportunity to raise awareness on gender equality and inspire their staff and clients through different events and activities organised in head offices and branches.
At Advans, we believe that creating equal opportunities for our staff and clients is essential for social and economic development in general and across our countries of operation where significant gender gaps remain.
Advans Tunisie took the opportunity to remind the challenges women in the country face with regards to financial inclusion and presented some inspiring female entrepreneurs’ stories during a female staff meeting at the head office.
At Advans Myanmar staffdid a video highlighting the importance of equal opportunities in personal and professional life.
Advans Nigeria distributed different gift items during a 10 day campaign under the #eachforequal theme focusing on women entrepreneurs and aiming to raise awareness on gender equality.
Advans Côte d’Ivoire celebrated the occasion by offering personalised mugs to female staff and organised team breakfasts at head office and in branches while female clients in different branches were offered small gifts. The MFI also participated at the Female Job and Entrepreneurship Forum on the 6 and 7 March, represented by its CEO, Mariam Djibo.
At Advans Pakistan, female staff were invited to take part in a guest speaker presentation and session to discuss challenges they face as working women, followed by a giveaway of branded mugs and a meet-up.
In Advans Cameroun some sweets were distributed to clients in branches for International Women’s Day. The institution is celebrating women throughout the month of March and also filmed a video focusing on its female staff and their careers at the MFI.
Advans Ghana sent out SMS to all its female clients and staff on the occasion and a presentation focusing on the need to stop inequality was made at the institution’s head office and branches. In line with one of Advans’ social goals of promoting fair and healthy working environment, the MFI also conducted a questionnaire on satisfaction of its female employees regarding the availability of equal opportunities within the Institution.
And in Amret, celebrating International Women’s Day CEO Dinn Dos distributed flowers to female staff.
