Mobile transfers at Advans DRC

What is the new service?
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, Advans has put in place a new system of immediate transfers. This service gives our customers the possibility to make domestic money transfers on their phone using a simple mobile code.
Why was this service developed?
DRC remains a country with a very low rate of access to financial services, but more than 35 million people in the country use mobile phones. This offers financial institutions an opportunity to reach people living in remote areas who do not have access to banking infrastructures through a mobile banking service. The latter are on the rise in the country today. With this mobile transfer service, Advans wanted to offer its customers and their families remote access to a fast and secure money transfer solution.
What are the advantages for clients?
The solution developed by Advans is adapted to the current needs of customers. They guarantee a safe, fast and secure transfer of small amounts (from US $10), even in local currency, with no maximum amount or number of transfers per day.
Who can benefit from this service?
This new service is not just for Advans customers; non-clients can also benefit. By extending this solution to non-clients, Advans can reach a wider audience and market its services to potential borrowers or depositors. The new transfer system is particularly used by customers in the interior regions of the country, where the need for this type of service meets a higher demand. Since financial structures are not necessarily represented outside major cities, this transfer solution allows customers living in isolated areas and dependent on their relatives living in the city to receive money easily and quickly.
