Meriem Zine assumes her functions as Advans Tunisie's new CEO
After having led Advans Tunisie for more than 4 years and having positioned the MFI as a leader in new microfinance institutions, Brieuc Cardon will now devote himself to activities at the group level as Business Development Manager.
He is confident in the future of Advans Tunisie and says: "With Meriem, Advans Tunisie is in excellent hands. Her skills, impressive background, network and knowledge of the Tunisian financial and economic contexts, will be considerable assets for Advans Tunisie."
Indeed, Ms Zine has achieved a great professional career with more than 18 years of experience in positions of high responsibility in different sectors of activity. Her experience in the field of audit, investment and insurance, her proven ability to manage and federate large teams as well as her motivation to meet the challenges specific to microfinance and the development of small enterprises in Tunisia will be assets for Advans Tunisie’s success.
Meriem Zine is the first woman to take over the management of Advans Tunisie, a strong symbol for the institution, where women represent 57% of staff today and whose ambition for the coming years will be to encourage and support more women entrepreneurs in Tunisia. Ms. Zine thus becomes the 3rd woman within the Advans group, to hold a position of general management of a subsidiary, after Jana Kadian, CEO of Advans Myanmar since 2017, and Mariam Djibo, CEO of Advans Côte d'Ivoire since 2019.
